Biography
Magali Delarosa is a Mexican-American singer-songwriter/actress/designer born in South Texas, began her singing career at a young age inspired by her Tejano-Rock musician/producer father Carlos Delarosa and her favorite singer, Selena Quintanilla. At only 8 years old she was asked by Univision to sing a Selena Tribute, and her performing career took off from that moment.
After graduating high school she moved to California to study fashion design and further her career as a performer. After acting in a few independent films and doing small performances at The House of Blues, The Key Club, and Cine El Rey, Magali caught the attention of Randy Jackson from American Idol. She was cast as part of a Latina girl group called “Brunette.” The group managed to put out a great single, and during this time discovered her talent for songwriting
Magali was invited to collaborate with Armenian super star Karen Hakobyan. Through this opportunity, she was asked to star in his music video “Sirel Em” which has over 4 million views on YouTube. After the video was released Karen and Magali were asked to perform at The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles to a sold out crowd of 7,000 people. After parting with the girl group, Magali decided to continue as an independent artist, releasing her first EP called Revival in 2015.
In 2015 Magali release her first all Spanish album entitled “Esta Vez” which she credits to having launched her career in the Tejano Market.In 2016 she released her sophomore album entitled “Amor Barato” which caught the attention of Grammy Award winner Michael Salgado. In 2017 Magali signed a record deal with the Tejano star, released “Mis Suenos” and began a Tour with the label “Zurdo Records”. In 2020 Magali Independently released “Como Quieres Que Te Olvide” which shot up to number 1 on the Tejano Charts.
Magali has been designing clothes as long as she has been singing. She has used those talents to sell her designs online, even selling her unique designs worldwide. One her her designs made it on an episode of MTV’s Americas Best Dance Crew, worn by famous singer/rapper Lil Mama.All of her designs can be seen in her videos and performances. Her clothing line is named after her full name “Magali Delarosa” which also includes her lip gloss line called “Besame Mucho”
In April 2021 Magali Delarosa successfully dropped her 4th studio album entitled “Corazón Rebelde”. Shortly after her album release, she was cast in two back to back feature films to be released in late 2023 and signed with an agency in Austin Texas.In 2022 she was selected as the cover for “Chicano Life Magazine” and “Nuestra Musica Monthly” making that her fourth Magazine Cover.Magali was also nominated for “Female Vocalist of the Year” at The 2022 Tejano Music Awards”.
The artist is now in preparations to submit an album to the Latin Grammys and is now promoting her new single “Quiero Qué Vuelvas” which stars Champion Boxer and actor Brandon “Heartbreaker” Figueroa.Magali has officially signed with Stega Management Marketing and officially starts her tour in March 2023, fifth studio album to be released soon after.Her music can be found and purchased under her artist name Magali Delarosa.
