My name is Magali Delarosa This is my story.
I was born in McAllen Texas, a town bordering Mexico.I am the younger of two daughters. I grew up with my parents Carlos and Sylvia Delarosa. My playmate and companion growing was my best friend and loving sister Dominique. I owe a lot of my skills and talents to my child hood and the way me and my sister were raised. We always had music in our house and color in our lives. I learned at an early age to appreciate different kinds of music, art and people. I was always encouraged to be myself and no one else. I was always loud and outrageously energetic. Always the free spirit I believe in peace, loving one another, and being kind to animals.
It was always my love of classic movies and Hollywood starlets were I developed my love for fashion and costume design. Center stage in High school is where I developed my skills in acting, singing, dancing, designing and writing.
It felt like I had spent an eternity in that theatre and before I knew it I relocated to Long Beach, California where I graduated with a degree in Fashion Design. Since graduating from college I have been working on my own collection, "Viva" by Magali De La Rosa.
This collection will be the launch of unique one of a kind pieces that will touch all areas in fashion.
This Line of high end clothing will be followed by a children's line called "Magz Ragz" by Magali Delarosa. My first fashion debut was held at the Complex in Hollywood in Septmeber 2009. Were I showed a collection of 20 dresses inspired by the 1920's, and Paris. By the middle of October 2009 the collection completely sold out, and special requests for some of the pieces were duplicated. With the success of my debut I was left with the inspiration to finally launch "Viva" My personal clothing line which has also had great success so far. Im working hard to put my winter collection together and two special couture dresses for an editorial shoot that will take place in December 2009.
On the acting end I have starred in two independent films "Two thousand my bads", and "Thorns of a rose", both leading roles.
  I was the lead in "Burning" a music video for up and coming international artist Sassan. Shortly after I wrapped on these projects I landed my first cover for "Nifty Magazine" and landed a small part on the Spanish comedic series "Los Chuperamigos".  Most recently I was cast as Marisol, the Spanish spit fire in the television series "Hell Fighter, an American in Paris" to be shot in the summer of 2010. I am also very excited to share with you that my next movie role is the female lead in an action film that is to be shot abroad in China in January 2010. This will be my biggest film project to date. I will be in the company of a great cast and wonderful director in the months to come. This opportunity came shortly after I wrapped two film projects back to back in October 2009. The first film was a short entitled "Dirty Laundry" where I was given the lead as Lilly Rose. This film will be screened in Hollywood next Month. My second film was a feature entitled "Rudy Valentino Son of the Sheik." This film was a biographical movie based on the life of silent film star Rudy Valentino, where I co-starred as a character of the 1920's. I have also finished my first Children's book entitled "Mickey and Alis Magic Play Day". This children's book series is an autobiographical series on my childhood awaiting publication.
Along with my love of literature I have written various songs in English and in Spanish that have been show cased through out Los Angeles including House of Blues, The famous Gig on Melrose, The Key Club, numerous festivals, and fashion shows. I have worked at the prestigious Paramount studios and Encore studios. My musical set list is a tasty gumbo of Hip-hop soul, Techno, Latin, indie, jazz and of course rock and roll. My biggest influence growing up was Selena. She is still my biggest influence today along with top female vocalist such as Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and most recently the vocal styling's of Amy Winehouse.
  I grew up in a town were all my friends played an instrument or had some kind of musical talent. I was influenced by my friends and got my start singing in my friend's reggae-ska-punk band called Astrophix. I love discovering new talents and music from all genres and aspire to be a successful cross over artist in many different kinds of music.
 Most recently I have been writing and recording songs for a Japanese company called Movement Factory. I am working with a great producer on a single to be dropped in mid February 2010. I have also had success with two songs that were picked up by movies for sound track pieces. I owe a great deal of thanks to Keith Jackson, a wonderful composer, for choosing me for these projects. My ideal musical set up would be to have a huge band to play with at gigs and tour around Europe. I love different cultures and would like to explore that through music. There are many dreams and goals that I want to accomplish in this lifetime, but my biggest goal is to create beautiful art for the world and inspire others to do the same.I would like to give a special thanks to my family and friends for supporting me on this journey so far.
